Rooms & Cabins

The White Cloud Express carries 46 rooms for 92 guests, and all twelve of its sleeper carriages are private en-suite cabins. Two grades share the train: six Yunqi Kuanjing suites of 13.7 m² with floor-to-ceiling windows, and forty Yunqi Yayun rooms of 10 m². This page compares them and lists the 2027 fares for both the Xinjiang and Yunnan routes.

The two grades at a glance

Grade Size Layout How many
Yunqi Kuanjing 云栖·宽境
"Spacious Sanctuary" on the operator's English poster
13.7 m² Suite, double sofa, panoramic window 6 suites (3 per carriage)
Yunqi Yayun 云栖·雅韵
"Elegant Residence" on the operator's English poster
10 m² Room, independent viewing window 40 rooms (4 per carriage)

One note on names: the Kuanjing suites were listed as 揽月 Lanyue on the 2026 inaugural sailing. The name changed to 宽境 Kuanjing for the 2027 season; the six suites did not.

The two grades in detail

Yunqi Kuanjing · 云栖·宽境

13.7 m² · 6 suites on the train

Among the most spacious suites in Chinese luxury rail. A double sofa, a mini refrigerator and mini bar, an independent bathroom with dry-and-wet separation, and a floor-to-ceiling panoramic window over the 270-degree landscape. The twin beds combine into a double for couples. Six suites across two carriages, three per carriage, sitting at the top tier of the Chinese luxury train market.

Yunqi Yayun · 云栖·雅韵

10 m² · 40 rooms on the train

Yayun premium room interior with private bathroom

Forty premium rooms at 10 m², each with an independent viewing window and a private bathroom. The interiors carry the train's Chinese-classical programme: cloud-pattern relief, lattice-window motifs and palace-lantern lighting in the manner of a Ming and Qing scholar's study. The same hotels, meals, guides and 1:2 service ratio apply across both grades; the upgrade buys you the larger room, the sofa and the panoramic window.

2027 fares

Per person, twin share. The Xinjiang route runs 18 days from Guangzhou; the Yunnan route is a separate 11-day autumn programme.

Frequently asked questions

Three things separate it: 3.7 extra square metres, the double sofa, and above all the floor-to-ceiling panoramic window, of which there are only six on the train. If the window and the space matter to you, it is the one; otherwise Yayun keeps the private bathroom, the viewing window and every land arrangement identical.
Yes. Every one of the twelve sleeper carriages is a private en-suite cabin; there is no shared-facility class on the train. Kuanjing adds dry-and-wet separation detail and more space.
The operator's full 2027 plan lists six summer sailings plus the 14 September finale, while the current October 2026 availability chart lists only 6 June, 26 June and 14 September. We report the chart as published and confirm the live position of any departure in writing before you commit.
